General comments

Given that the national report on the implementation of the CBD is four-yearly, it has been suggested by the Intergovernmental Committee for the Cartagena Protocol on Biosafety (UNEP/CBD/ICCP/2/4) that an alternating cycle of reporting under the Convention and under the Protocol be established in order to reduce the reporting burden on Parties.
