Abstract The Montreal Protocol was signed on September 16, 1987, in Montreal, Canada. The focus of the Montreal Protocol is the control of production and consumption of bulk Ozone Depleting Substances. (Consumption is defined as production + imports - exports).
The protocol was adjusted and/or amended in 1990, 1992, 1995, 1997 and in Beijing in 1999.
