Description This Recommendation replaces OSPAR Recommendation 2000/4 as amended by OSPAR Recommendation 2008/1.
The purpose of pre-screening is to allow authorities to identify substances intended to be used, or used in, offshore chemicals with the aim of substituting those substances which are hazardous, and regulating and controlling the other substances, where necessary.
This Recommendation will be reviewed and, if necessary, revised in 2014.
