Reporting obligation for: Water emission quality (WISE-1)

Title	Water emission quality (WISE-1)
Description	Data on emissions are collected annually through the WISE-SoE Reporting process. Following the test data request in 2008, data on emissions to water are requested as regular data flow from 2009 onwards. The data requested on emissions include emissions of nutrients, organic matter and hazardous substances from a range of both point and diffuse sources. This reporting obligation is an EIONET non-Priority Data flow. Delivery process or content of this obligation overlaps with another reporting obligations (http://rod.eionet.europa.eu/obligations/521 , http://rod.eionet.europa.eu/obligations/613 , http://rod.eionet.europa.eu/obligations/184 , http://rod.eionet.europa.eu/obligations/14 , http://rod.eionet.europa.eu/obligations/645). Any data already submitted under WFD, UWWTD, SoE Quantity or SoE TCM waters (Riverine Load or Direct Discharges) reporting need not be resupplied under this reporting obligation. Countries are only asked to provide missing or additional data. If countries reported data under emissions to water in 2011, this has been used to pre-fill the 2012 Eurostat/OECD Joint Questionnaire and no Eurostat reporting has to be done by the country.

Extra information	A formal request is sent to NFPs and NRCs every year with reference to templates to use and guidelines. The guidelines are being updated every year.
